Tampa Housing Authority (THA) offers housing opportunities to serve residents of the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County. We assist individuals and families at varying levels of income to afford to live in safe, sanitary housing.

Our programs are designed to meet the needs of our community and those in need of secure housing.

Through our work with community partners and organizations, in addition to providing housing support to our residents, we offer opportunities to access services, increasing access to education, employment opportunities, and other assistance programs.

The Mission of the Tampa Housing Authority:
The Tampa Housing Authority was incorporated in 1937. Its mission is to cultivate affordable housing while empowering people and transforming communities. Beyond managing federal Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs, the Authority works with local governments and partners with public and private organizations to carry out entrepreneurial urban development projects that expand accessible housing options in the Tampa area through mixed-income residences paired with commercial developments, and augmented by community service programs that improve the quality of life for all Tampanians.
