Employee of the Month: Diane Frink
Main Office, Assisted Housing
April's Employee of the Month nomination from Assisted Housing is AH Supervisor Diane Frink. Ms. Frink has been a loyal employee of this agency for more than 15 years. Her work ethic is unparalleled as she is responsible for monitoring the following programs and staff: Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS), HUD-VASH, Permanent Supportive Housing, Housing Opportunities for People with Aids, Homeownership, and a team of 13 employees. Her supervisor duties include monitoring the quality of work, notice boards, late re-exams, lease-ups, interims, FSS escrow payments, HAP contracts, termination reviews, reasonable accommodation reviews, VASH and FUP referrals, UNITY network, and all ADP functions. The pandemic proved to be very challenging as Diane's team serves the most vulnerable clients that are faced with homelessness, chronic homelessness, disabilities, lack of finances, no support system, and no transportation. She embraced the challenge and worked with her team to ensure all families received the proper attention in order to receive their vouchers, ultimately housed over 160 families and processed over 800 re-certifications and 200 interims. Her positive energy encouraged her team to be present with the clients and work through any barriers they were facing. While encouraging her team and clients, she also managed case loads due to turn-overs which meant she worked long hours that eventually spilled over into the weekends. Diane did all of this without complaint and is the epitome of a true team player. Diane is greatly deserving of Employee of the Month.
