U.S. Rep. Castor Delivers $4M to Enhance Expansion of Robles Park Village, a Tampa Housing Authority Affordable Housing Redevelopment
TAMPA, Fla. - March 15, 2024 - U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor, Mayor Jane Castor, and Tampa housing leaders will hold a media availability after they unveil plans for the Robles Park Smart Community Hub, thanks to $4 million secured by U.S. Rep. Castor, and another $2 million funded by the Tampa Housing Authority from non-federal sources. This 30,000 square-feet next-generation community center will cater to individuals of all ages and serve as a cornerstone of the new Robles Park Village Redevelopment in Tampa Heights/Seminole Heights. The hub will serve the larger area community of at least 20,000 neighbors.
As the Tampa Housing Authority embarks on the revitalization of the aging 35-acre Robles Park Village community, expanding from 433 units to approximately 1,900 mixed-use, mixed-income housing development, the Smart Community Hub will establish a central point of access for health, wellness, financial, and educational support services within the new Robles Park Village Redevelopment
